ACTIVITIES - Kids Camps
Native Place garden is a naturalized landscape that serves as an outdoor classroom for imparting environmental education programs. Our mission is to encourage people of all ages to get outdoors and explore nature and discover a sense of wonder. Our outdoor based programs include exploring trees,
birds and other features in the garden, using fun and engaging activities that offer children delightful and profound experiences of nature. These activities were developed by none other than the popular nature educator, Joseph Cornell, of the Sharing Nature Foundation.
Our experiential activities are designed to invoke curiosity and imagination, and imbibe an enquiring scientific attitude that allows children to apply their knowledge in creative ways. It’s learning disguised in fun activities that creates a sense of wonder and fulfilment.


1) Overnight Adventure at Native Place

Native Place is an exciting overnight picnic destination. A day filled with adventure activities, exciting games, and nature trails culminating with a treasure hunt. A unique sunset watch activity brings the day to a close followed by a bonfire, stargazing and an early morning trek.
Adventure Activities:
Rappelling, Low Ropes Course, Flying Fox, Tree Climbing and Trek
Experiential Learning:
Sensory Nature Games, Treasure hunt, Team Games, Nature Trail (in the native place garden), Sunset Watch and Stargazing
Cost: INR 2800/- per head for a minimum group size of 30.
Meals: Lunch, tea and snacks, dinner on day 1, and breakfast on day 2 (Veg and Non-Veg)
Check-in: 10:00 am on day1
Check-out: 11:00 am on day 2

2) Summer Camps

Summer brings raw mangoes, karvandas (wild berries), tree climbing, stream dipping and more. Children can enjoy experiential activities like nature games, scavenger hunts, survival activities, singing, story-telling, art projects in the natural bounty of the Native Place Garden habitat.
Our instructors guide children into experiences that help them build connection with earth and allow them to feel at home in the natural world. Through creative play and exploration, children will work together, thus becoming aware of nature and gaining knowledge of plants, mammals, tracking, birds, and survival.
Activities:
Rock climbing and rappelling on the hillside, short morning and evening treks, great backyard bird count, bird watching, tracking, orienteering, shelter building, tree and plant study, berry picking, outdoor cooking and stargazing.
Class Size:
Limited to 10 students per instructor. Participants are divided into groups by age, each with a lead instructor.
Duration: 4 Days and 3 Nights

Age: 8 years onwards
Cost: INR 8500/- per head

3) Diwali Camps

It’s time to go explore nature’s welfare post the monsoon - observe how plants, water bodies and terrain have changed in the due course of time. With the help of experienced instructors, we will observe how young birds and insects thrive in their lush green surroundings. What’s more, it’s butterfly time too.

Rock Climbing and Rappelling, Zip line, Outdoor Camping, Shelter Building, Cookouts, Bonfires, Stargazing, Trekking, Bird Watching, Storytelling, Sensory Nature Games
